Hi All! 

For those of you who do not know me my name is Jolissa and I am the owner/founder of Glamour & Grace Boutique which was previously named “Thriftyfashionaddict”. I am 28 years old, a mother to 3 beautiful babies, and a soon to be wife! 

A little reasoning as to why we revamped our name from Thriftyfashionaddict to now Glamour & Grace Boutique.  For those who do not know, I was addicted to alcohol. At the time of trying to come up with ideas to ‘attempt’ to get sober, what better way than to make a name after something that represents me? I love thrifting and duh I’m also an addict. As 2024 went on, we would sell  gently used clothes, accessories, shoes, handbags , and a few other items. I noticed this wasn’t helping me nor my addiction. If anything it was just a mask to be on live drunk while selling things. A little later we found out my mom was going to move to AZ so we felt that was the end of Thriftyfashionaddicts. Since a vast majority of the items were from her closet and the thrifty boutique would not be the same without her, we felt it was best to just stop the entire boutique and carry on with life. 

At the end of 2024 was when I got a rude wake up call. My addiction had worsened and something had just spoke to me. I told myself come January 1st no more. No more drinking, I cannot keep doing this to my body especially if I have 3 kids who depend on me. January 1st was the day my life changed for the better. Anyone who struggled with addition know that the withdrawals are painful. Thankfully, that area lasted about 2 weeks. Within those 2 weeks, I picked up my bible (something I hadn’t done in years) and I read. I prayed and prayed for the Lord to just open a section that stands out and that I needed to hear and sure enough he did. We opened to Corinthians 10:13 which reads: 

“No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. Godis faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.”
That was his way of telling me, I’m not alone. I can do this. As long as I have strength and the Lord in me, I can get through anything. Since January 1st, I have been 7 weeks sober, I have joined my church to serve the Lord and now I am an adult leader for my little Stingrays (2 year olds). If it wasn’t for him, I honestly do not know where I’d be now. 

Glamour & Grace was reborn just like how I was. He gave me a second chance at life so I’m going to give this boutique a second chance at life. This boutique will be filled with love and admiration of the Lord. Not only love and admiration but love and admiration of Glamour. I’m not only obsessed with our God but obsessed with all things fashion, glitz, and glam! Who says you can’t praise the man above with a beat face?! Exactly! 

I hope not only you follow this sober journey with me but this Glamour & Grace journey!

Let’s not forget, we will have all things GLAMOROUS and GRACIOUS of course.
